Children's opera as a tool for forming the pedagogical communication skills of prospective music educators in the process of choral conducting training

The article considers the issue of updating the content of choral conducting training of future music teachers by means of children's opera, which is relevant for modern music and pedagogical education. The purpose of the article is to highlight the potential of children's opera as an effective means of forming pedagogical communication skills of future music teachers in the process of choral conducting training with the aim of their effective use in further musical and pedagogical activity. To achieve the goal, general scientific methods of analysis and generalization were applied. The article analyzes scientific research on children's opera, which has stood out as an independent genre in modern art and is one of the effective means of stimulating the creative activity of schoolchildren. An analysis of scientific sources on conducting and choral pedagogy, vocal-choral activity of students and the formation of their professional competences was carried out. Based on the generalization of scientific sources, the expediency of turning to the genre of children's opera in the process of choral conducting training of future music teachers for their acquisition of pedagogical communication skills is substantiated. This will allow them to successfully carry out professional activity in the future. Scientific approaches are defined, the principles and methods of solving the problem of formation of pedagogical communication skills of future music teachers by means of children's opera, as a genre with enormous educational, developmental and spiritual-creative potential, are outlined.
