The article deals with the study of modern high school students’ values-based orientations with a different type of ethnic identity. Values are significant in the ethnic identity structure, as they are one of the components of a social and personal worldview. The methods of “Ethnic identity types’” and “Values-based orientations” are used. It is stated that such types of ethnic identity as ethnic norm and ethnic indifference predominate over high school students. It is identified that there are no statistically significant gender differences in indices of ethnic identity types. In the hierarchy of high school students’ terminal values the most important values are “health”, “active working life” and “development”; the least important – “public recognition”, “creativity” and “other people’s happiness”. In the hierarchy of instrumental values, the most important for high school students are “well-mannered”, “education” and “vivacity”; the least important – “high demands”, “diligence” and “intransigence to flaws”. It is stated that there are correlational interconnections between ethnic identity types and values-based orientations of respondents. It is noted that “health” value prevails for all ethnic identity types except “ethnonihilism”. It is stated that predominant values for “ethnonihilists” are “confidence” and “productive life” (terminal) and “precision” and “self-control” (instrumental). “An interesting job” is a terminal value which is the most important for respondents mainly with “ethnic indifference”. It is specified that for “ethnoegoist” the highest position in the values hierarchy belongs to the category of “love” (terminal) and “honesty” (instrumental) and “having friends” (terminal) prevails for representatives of “ethnoisolationism”. “Financially established life” plays a significant role in the terminal values system for high school students’ who have a great demonstration of bigotry. Therefore, there are specific differences in the values sphere of high school students with different dominant ethnic identity types.
