Formation of artistic competence of children as a necessary component of professional training of future teachers

The article reveals the peculiarities of the professional training of future teachers for the formation of children's artistic competence, the awakening of their interest in art, and their involvement in artistic and creative activities; the development of aesthetic tastes, a sense of responsibility for the preservation of the cultural heritage of society, and a holistic worldview; intellectual and spiritual development of the personality. The task of general art education is outlined as a subsystem of school education, which harmoniously combines education, upbringing, and development of children and youth by means of art and which is designed to prepare them for active participation in socio-cultural life and for further artistic and aesthetic self-education. Some functions of art education are considered, which is a mediator between socially significant cultural values and personal values of a person and ensures the acquisition of basic competencies in general cultural, artistic-cognitive, communicative, etc., forming the desire and ability for artistic and creative self-realization and spiritual self-improvement throughout life. It is emphasized that the integrative aspect of art education requires the ability to develop complex knowledge, which provides future teachers with a creative approach to artistic and artistic-aesthetic activity. The conceptual idea of developing the content of general art education, the goal of which is the holistic artistic and aesthetic development of the individual based on the interaction of various types of art and the coordination of knowledge, skills, and ideas, the acquisition of which is necessary for the formation of a multi-artistic and multicultural image of the world in the minds of students, has been studied. Aspects of the artistic and creative training of students of the faculties of arts majoring in "Musical Art" were analyzed. The obtained results of the training of future teachers for the use of art and creative and interpretive independent work, as well as artistic work with elementary school students and preschool children, are highlighted.
