A Comparative Analysis of the Political Culture of Modern Youth in Ukraine in the Pre-War Period and in the War

The article notes that the political culture of modern youth in Ukraine has undergone changes both in the pre-war period and in the war. The political situation in the country has a significant impact on the formation of the political culture of young people. On the one hand, the war can increase patriotism and responsibility to the state, on the other hand, it can reduce trust in politicians and parties. It is noted that political culture consists of such systemic elements as: political consciousness, political activity, national mentality, ideological guidelines, as well as personal values, needs, norms and skills of political behaviour The author emphasizes that young people remain an important component of public life, which should be involved in making important decisions and shaping the future of the country. The author points out the need to create conditions for active participation of young people in political processes and to ensure that they have the opportunity to express their thoughts and ideas. It is substantiated that in order to raise the level of political culture of modern youth in Ukraine, it is necessary to provide young people with opportunities for self-realization and involvement in the social, economic and political processes of the country, as well as to form the right values and knowledge about democracy and civil society. To do this, it is necessary to develop political education and civic engagement, raise awareness of young people about political processes in the country and the world, and teach young people to engage in dialogue and compromise. It is proved that the political culture of modern youth in Ukraine has undergone changes in recent years, in particular, due to the development of information technology and changes in the socio-economic situation in the country. The author emphasizes the need to involve young people in political life and develop tools for their participation in it in order to ensure stability and development of democracy in Ukraine.
