Teaching elements of stochastic programming at the pedagogical university

Abstract

The article reveals some methodological aspects of teaching stochastic programming in the course Basics of Theory and Methods of Optimization to students of informatics specialties of pedagogical universities. It gives the classification of uncertainties and problem statements, as well as the examples of their solution with the use of information technologies. Such an approach to teaching facilitates showing inter-subject connections and developing students’ mathematical and informatics competencies.
