СТАНОВЛЕННЯ ПРАВОВОЇ ПОЛІТОЛОГІЇ ЯК ВІДОБРАЖЕННЯ СУЧАСНИХ ТЕНДЕНЦІЙ РОЗВИТКУ ГУМАНІТАРНОГО ЗНАННЯ

Abstract

Readers are offered a review of the new textbook of the Institute of State and Law V. M Koretsky NAS of Ukraine «Law and Political Science. An Academic Course» which is edited by I. Kresina and published in Kyiv in 2021. The publication is focused on the formation of a holistic system of knowledge about the political and legal reality. This is the next stage in the development of a new research area in Ukraine that is called law and political science. It is an illustrative example of the simultaneous deepening of specialization and strengthening the desire for integration. The main thematic blocks of the proposed textbook are outlined: theoretical and methodological problems related to the substantiation of legal political science as a science and academic discipline; interaction of politics and law; political power, which covers legal issues through its influence; functioning of the state as a political and legal institution; main characteristics of subjects and objects of policy; legal dimension of political regimes, political participation and political representation, political parties and party systems, etc. Emphasis is placed on the structure of the material, the originality of the author’s approach, its relevance for state-building activities. Understanding the political and legal factors of social development, the authors expanded their understanding of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of modern science, including through such concepts as «political law», «political and legal system», «legal policy», «political and legal forecasting» and others.
