Abstract

It was analyzed the political aspects of postmodernism as a modern era, as well as examines the features and conditions of coexistence in the scientific discourse of two successive epochs: postmodern and postpostmodern in the article. The concepts that form the basis of postmodern research of modernity are considered: digimodernism, hypermodernism, altermodernism, metamodernism. It is concluded that the concepts of postmodernism indicate the technologicalization and automation of society in general, but politics as a social phenomenon combines rational and irrational elements and factors, which, in turn, are complex, multifaceted and often contradictory reflection of political reality. The peculiarities of modern politics in the context of postmodern discourse are highlighted, as well as why the current stage can be called «postmodern». It is noted that postmodernism does not contradict other concepts of modernity, but tries to comprehend modernity and political reality from the standpoint of pluralism. At the same time, postmodernism and postmodern politics are viewed from two positions: conceptual-idealistic and nihilistic. The aim of the article is to identify the main features of modern political reality through the analysis of postmodern and postmodernist concepts. The study was based on an interdisciplinary approach, based on the principles of objectivity and social approach. The research methods were methods of analysis and synthesis, historical and comparative.
