The article discusses tools for creating virtual machines using the Web-based Proxmox VE system using three open virtualization technologies, namely KVM, QEMU, LXC. The use of Proxmox VE in educational institutions can have the benefits of improving the level of service of computer equipment, simplifying data management and protection, reducing the cost of hardware and power supplies, and the benefits of virtualization during development in testing environments. It is the use of the web-based system interface that allows virtual machines to be managed using modern virtualization approaches, therefore, the article describes in more detail the use and creation of virtual machines using open virtualization technologies.
