Процедура рецензування (тип, критерії, терміни, документування)

All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer review procedure by the editorial board of the journal.

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process:
reviewers are unaware of the authors’ identities, and authors are unaware of the reviewers’ identities.

Submitted manuscripts are checked for compliance with the requirements specified in the section “Publication Guidelines”.
Only manuscripts prepared in accordance with the section “Formatting Requirements”, which have passed:

  • initial editorial screening;
  • copyright verification,

are admitted to the peer review stage.

The initial evaluation of the manuscript is carried out by the Editor-in-Chief.

In cases of a conflict of interest (authorship, co-authorship, family or professional relationships), the review is handled by another member of the editorial board who has no conflict of interest.

Manuscripts must correspond to the journal’s scope.
After the initial check:

  • a registration code is assigned to the manuscript;
  • all author-identifying information is removed.

The anonymized manuscript is sent via email to:

  • a member of the editorial board responsible for the relevant field;
  • two external reviewers.

External reviewers are:

  • Ukrainian and international Doctors of Sciences (or equivalent);
  • specialists in the same academic field as the authors.

Reviewers receive:

  • a review request;
  • the anonymized manuscript;
  • a standard review form.

Reviewers must not:

  • be affiliated with the same institution as the author;
  • have any conflict of interest.

During the review process, the following aspects are evaluated:

  • consistency between the title and the content of the manuscript;
  • relevance and scientific novelty;
  • justification of the practical significance of the research;
  • value for a broad academic audience.

Reviewers select one of the following recommendations:

  • accept for publication;
  • accept after minor revisions;
  • accept after major revisions;
  • reject.

In case of rejection or revision:

  • reviewers must provide a reasoned written explanation.

Signed reviews are stored in the editorial office for 3 years from the date of publication of the issue containing the reviewed article.

The editorial decision is communicated to the authors.

Manuscripts requiring revision:

  • are returned with reviewer comments (without reviewer identification);
  • the revised version is subject to re-review.

⚠️ Important: revision does not guarantee acceptance.

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on:

  • reviewers’ reports;
  • recommendations;
  • compliance with journal requirements.

The Editor-in-Chief does not participate in decisions regarding manuscripts:

  • authored by themselves;
  • authored by family members or colleagues;
  • in which they have a personal interest.

Such manuscripts undergo independent review, and the final decision is made by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
