The article reveals the diagnostic stage of formation of performance skills of master's students of musical art. Diagnostic methods of checking the formation of performance skills of masters of musical art in the process of singing training are presented. Four levels of formation of performance skills of masters of musical art in the process of singing education are distinguished, namely: elementary, basic, perfect and creative, which are given qualitative and quantitative indicators. At the ascertainment stage of the experiment, the formation of the motivational-value and cognitive-cognitive structural components of the performance mastery of master's students of musical art in the process of singing was verified. The results of the preparation of master's students in musical art for singing activities are highlighted.
