Type of license for the use of copyrighted works

Authors published in this journal agree to the following terms:

Authors retain the right of authorship of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication of this work under the terms of the  Creativ Commons BY 4.0 Deed | Attribution 4.0 International, International license, which allows others to freely distribute the published work with mandatory attribution to the authors of the original work and the first publication of the work in this journal.

Authors have the right to enter into independent additional agreements regarding the non-exclusive distribution of the work in the form in which it was published by this journal (for example, to place the work in an institution’s digital repository or to publish it as part of a monograph), provided that a reference to the first publication of the work in this journal is retained.

The journal’s policy permits and encourages authors to post the manuscript online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) of the manuscript, both prior to submission to the editorial board and during the editorial review process, as this fosters productive scholarly discussion and positively impacts the timeliness and citation dynamics of the published work (see The Effect of Open Access).
