Abstract

The article provides a theoretical analysis of virtual tools in the structure of psychological support for adults under conditions of prolonged stress and social instability. It analyses contemporary scientific approaches to understanding psychological support as a multi-level system that ensures the preservation of subjectivity, psycho-emotional well-being and adaptive potential of a person. It has been established that virtual means of psychological support perform psychoeducational, regulatory, cognitive, and socio-communicative functions, contributing to the development of self-regulation, reduction of psycho-emotional tension, and maintenance of psychological balance in adults. Based on the results of theoretical generalisation, it has been established that digital and virtual psychological assistance tools should be considered as a supplementary yet structurally significant component of the psychological support system. The integration of virtual tools into the psychological support system for adults proves to be most effective when digital resources are combined with personal, social and professional factors of support at multiple levels. It has been shown that the effectiveness of using virtual tools depends on the level of personal awareness, the ability to reflect and integrate the experience gained into everyday life. It is emphasised that virtual tools alone cannot replace traditional psychological support; however, their integration into a comprehensive model of assistance contributes to maintaining psychological well-being and increasing stress resistance. They also expand the self-help resources available to adults in today’s social environment. The practical value of the model lies in its ability to combine resources at different levels for comprehensive support in stressful situations. Further research should focus on long-term evaluation, protocol standardisation, and digital inclusion.
