DYNAMICS OF INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINANTS ON THE STAGES OF A YOUNG PERSON`S MORAL CHOICE

Abstract

The article outlines the specifics of the implementation on the stages to moral choice under the  influence of moral values that act as psychological determinants of its implementation in adolescence.  The scientific achievements of Ukrainian researchers who have studied various aspects of the  formation of young people's value attitude towards others and their moral development, the essence  of each stage of moral choice, and its psychological determinants are analyzed. A comparative  quantitative and qualitative analysis of the influence of moral values on the stages of choice in the  experimental group is demonstrated. Using the methods of mathematical statistics, the correlations  relationships between moral values and stages of moral choice have been established, which reflect  certain changes between the indicators before and after the development program for boys and girls.  In the process of performing various psychological tasks, young people intensified the development  of moral values, which increased the effectiveness of assimilation of moral knowledge and behavior  self-regulation. The most effective way to increase the level of moral knowledge of the individual  and develop the ability to apply it in their own moral experience was to solve moral dilemmas. The  latter made it possible to create the most realistic conditions for a difficult situation, in which boys  and girls actualized their moral values and made an independent, conscious moral choice. The  outlined changes confirmed the influence of psychological determinants on the stages of moral  choice, which will allow a deeper dive into the specifics of making moral choice and actualize the  process of developing the moral consciousness of young people. 

At the same time, it was noted that the process of assimilation of moral values, on the basis of which  the stages of moral choice are carried out, was not activated in a certain part of the subjects researched.  Accordingly, we observe the prospects for further research in the study of psychological mechanisms  of moral values development, development and implementation of effective methodological  recommendations for psychologists and teachers that will contribute to the activation of the formation  of moral values in the personality of youth.
