TIME PERSPECTIVE AS A COMPONENT OF THE LIFE ACTIVITY STRATEGY OF CONTEMPORARY YOUTH

The article reveals the results of the theoretical and practical study of life paths and temporal aspects of life planning among student youth, which occur during the formation of their personal life position. In Ukraine, the life of students is currently experiencing special challenges due to the state of war. Under such conditions, the study of the components of life strategies becomes extremely important and relevant. The article examines key scientific concepts of the study of personal life strategies in the context of current scientific research. The life strategies of an individual are defined as the way in which a person projects their own life, aligning individual goals with social ones, as well as taking into account real opportunities. This process is based on social orientation, determination of priority values, attitude towards oneself and others, adapting to social norms and cultural realities. Since the process of socialization and personality development continues from childhood through adolescence and young adulthood, the perception of time segments of life, as well as future personal and career expectations, becomes fundamental for the formation of the vector of one's own life path. T. Cottle's Circle of Time test was used to identify empirical data. 112 university students participated in the study. According to the results of the study, students demonstrate a holistic vision of their own life path, realizing the cause-and-effect relationships between life events. At the same time, there is an illusory perception of future prospects, which is not supported by concrete actions at the moment. A certain concern was also revealed regarding future events related to professional and personal growth. However, the data obtained indicate an insufficient level of development of spatial and temporal orientation among student youth. This signifies the need to develop and implement psychological and pedagogical programs aimed at forming students' readiness for the challenges of adult life.
