Abstract

The article substantiates the psychological and pedagogical foundations for the formation of the professional competences of students of arts faculties by means of instrumental, vocal-choral and orchestral performance, considered as an integral interdisciplinary space of the professional training of a future musicianteacher. The essence of the concept of the professional competence of a student of an arts faculty is clarified as an integrated personal characteristic that combines artistic-performing, music-theoretical and psychologicalpedagogical knowledge, abilities and skills, value orientations, and the capacity to create an artistically convincing interpretive image by means of musical-performing activity. The place of performing competence within the structure of professional competence is determined, and its connection with the artistic-creative, cognitive-technological, operational-technical, communicativeensemble, motivational-value and reflective-evaluative components is revealed. The main types of musicalperforming activity used in professional training are characterized: solo instrumental performance, vocal and vocal-choral performance, conducting-choral activity, ensemble and orchestral music-making. The psychological and pedagogical conditions for the effective formation of professional competences are substantiated. It is established that instrumental, vocal-choral and orchestral performance fulfils not only an artistic-expressive but also an integrative-developmental function, ensuring the interdisciplinary synthesis of music-theoretical, historical-stylistic and methodological training, the development of musical thinking, performing will and the ability for collective artistic interaction. The generalization of the research results made it possible to outline promising directions for improving the professional training of students of arts faculties on the basis of the interdisciplinary integration of the types of musical-performing activity.
