Summary. The article substantiates the psychological and pedagogical foundations for the formation of professional competences of future film and television camera operators (cinematographers) by means of digital technologies in the context of the digital transformation of the screen industry and arts education. The essence of the concept of a cinematographer’s professional competence is clarified as an integrated characteristic of a screen-arts specialist that combines artistic-creative and technical-technological knowledge, abilities, and skills of camera craft, value orientations, and the capacity to create an expressive screen image by means of modern digital shooting equipment. The place of digital competence within the structure of a cinematographer’s professional competence is determined, and its connection with the artisticcreative, cognitive-technological, operational-activity, motivational-value, and reflective components is revealed. The main groups of digital technologies used in the training of camera operators are characterized: digital shooting equipment and optics, technologies of non-linear editing, color correction and color grading, virtual production (LED walls, game engines, camera tracking), computer graphics and visual effects, as well as electronic educational platforms and artificial intelligence technologies. The psychological and pedagogical conditions for the effective formation of the professional competences of future operators by means of digital technologies are substantiated. It is established that digital technologies perform not only an instrumental but also an artistic-developmental function, ensuring the individualization of learning, the development of visual and cinematographic thinking, and increased creative motivation. The synthesis of the research results made it possible to outline promising directions for the improvement of the professional training of film and television camera operators in the context of digitalization.
