Abstract

The article explores the psychological aspects of readiness for professional activity among specialists in information systems and technologies. The aim of the study is to identify measures and tools to enhance the psychological readiness of specialists in information systems and technologies. The research employed general scientific methods of cognition: analysis and synthesis, comparison, systematization, generalization, interpretation, and critical review of modern approaches to IT specialist training. Results. It has been established that despite the high level of research on technical training in the IT sphere, the psychological aspects of professional readiness formation remain insufficiently explored. This is particularly true regarding the integration of psychological diagnostic methods into the educational process. It has been substantiated that psychological factors of readiness for professional activity have both positive and negative manifestations. Positive factors include analytical thinking, cognitive motivation, conscientiousness, and the ability to work in a team, which ensure productivity, efficiency, and adaptability in complex IT environments. At the same time, negative manifestations such as increased anxiety, impulsiveness, underdeveloped emotional intelligence, tendencies toward addictive behavior, and professional burnout complicate the process of professional development and reduce the quality of work. It   that the combination of these characteristics directly influences the viability and resilience of a specialist in a professional environment. The study reveals a discrepancy between the requirements of educational standards and the actual psychological needs of specialists. Both international (IS2020) and domestic standards (Standard of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine) are focused primarily on knowledge, skills, and dispositions, while overlooking personal and psychological aspects. This creates a significant gap between formal training and the real demands of professional activity. Conclusions. It has been established that a comprehensive enhancement of the professional readiness of IT specialists is achieved through the combination of stage-oriented motivational approaches and digital interventions, the systematic development of resilience at three levels, and the purposeful formation of communicative, volitional, and moral-ethical components of professional behavior.
